I went to Boston for my cardiac clearance yesterday and really got annoyed with the phyisicians assistant...she is the barbie doll 5'7 slim and trim and she looked at me and said well...you only lost 2 pounds this week, and I was like- woohoo for me and she was like no no for you !!! has anyone ever thought someone should not be working for an obesity clinic with that kind of attitude. I wouldnt be going there if weight loss was easy for me
I agree about the assistant, they should not have someone working for them who is like that! I'm know that you handled it A LOT better than I would have. I wouldn't have been a very nice person to her...LOL Well, just don't let that bother you, pretty soon we all will be lookin' good.
Have a good Thanksgiving tomorrow!
Talk to you soon.
Candice
I hope that everyone is having a good Thanksgiving! I know that all of us are on the pre-op diet but we can still have a good time! Yesterday I was really having a hard time, I couldn't seem to stick to this diet and know I have to. I remembered why I started this journey in the first place and also got a lot of support from friends here on OH. It really helped me out a lot. I am not on the liquid diet until the 1st but I think that I am going to start using my protein shakes for breakfast and lunch, I think it will help.
Keep in touch!

OK I admit it; I cheated on Thanksgiving! But only a little bit. I had a few (very few) bites of turkey and one delicious deviled egg. I figured it was all protein and I wasn't going to be adding any fat to my liver. So I enjoy a little bit with my family yesterday and with the big get together today. No sweets no starches, just a bit of protein. I think I did very well.
I start my iron infusions Friday. i was suppose to start last Tuesday but they called and said my insurance had declined them. I was waiting for a callback from my surgeon the called again and said they approved on 2nd submission. They were told that it was standard to reject the initial request due to high number of requests.
I hope everybody is doing well and are ready for Tuesday. I have a 05:20 check in time but unknown when I will actually be in surgery. The surgeon has 3-4 surgeries a day. I may be #1 or #4 I won't know until I get on the gurney. I fortunately I only live 30 minutes away.
If I don't write until after the surgery; My deepest thoughts for unqualified success and I will see you on the losers bench.
